AUTO-Electrode is a new addition to the
AUTO-Series range that allows quick and
easy electrode design for the spark erosion
of complex areas. Electrodes are often required
by the toolmaker to produce a small feature
within a mould, obtain a high quality finish,
or produce a textured surface finish.
AUTO-Electrode allows the user to identify
the surfaces that need to be 'pulled' using
either a graphical interface or wireframe
geometry. Once the electrode area has been
identified the neck of the electrode is
automatically produced with additional draft
if required.
The final process is for the user to define
the stock and holder for the electrode including
a true 3D collision check against the model.
All drawing information and dimensions can
be extracted using 2D plotting environment.
